Can You Make Money As a Clickfunnels Affiliate?
While Clickfunnels may be the most popular sales funnel software ever, you often hear people talking about earning plenty of money as a Clickfunnels affiliate. But can you?
Well, the answer is absolutely. But, not everybody will.
It all depends on what your skillset is, and how you go about promoting it.
Clickfunnels Affiliate Promotion Methods
In this article, I Will lay out some of the basic ways people promote Clickfunnels as an affiliate. I’ve tried a couple of ways , and will share what works best for me.
First, let us lay out some of the most common promotional procedures.
Please note, this is not all the methods. But, being a member of many Clickfunnels Facebook groups, these are the methods I most commonly see mentioned .
- Facebook Ads
- Google Adwords
- Bing Ads
- Email Marketing
- Share Funnels
- Solo Marketing
Below, we shall examine each method a little more in depth. Hopefully this can help you decide which method best resonates with you.
One of the most common methods of boosting Clickfunnels as an affiliate, would be to use Facebook Ads. Matter of fact, Clickfunnels educates you to do this in their Affiliate Bootcamp.
Now, is this way effective?
For me it was not . I found that since this is taught from the bootcamp, it’s somewhat saturated. Imagine tens of thousands of people, all running the same ad, for the identical product.
Essentially, that is what it is. Now, some people now offer a free lead magnet, to obtain an email address; and in the follow up attempt and find the customer to take the free + shipping book offer.
This ends up to be a much more effective strategy, if you are wanting to go the Facebook advertisement route.
Up next, is another paid traffic source; Google Adwords.
Now, many individuals have made a ton of cash as a Clickfunnels affiliate, using Adwords. The hottest and well known Clickfunnels affiliate, is Spencer Mecham.
This is with good reason, seeing as he’s broken 1 million bucks as an affiliate.
The down side to Google Adwords, is how aggressive it is. Especially since the release of Spencer’s course Affiliate Secrets 2.0.
Due to the popularity of the course, many people have dove headfirst into the Adwords method, driving the cost of one Clickfunnels trial through the roof.
I’ve seen people paying upwards of $400 for a single click! Not a trial; a click.
Not sure about you, but that’s a bit too rich for my blood.
Because of Adwords being so large , some folks have turned to advertising on Bing.
Though Bing isn’t as popular as Google, keep in mind it’s still responsible for approximately 33% of all web traffic.
Recently if you have an Android phone, you might have noticed when clicking a link in your email, the URL opens in Bing instead of Google.
As a consequence of this, I’d expect Bing visitors to increase. So, it may be a excellent opportunity for Bing Ads. In reality , I know of a few people who are extremely effective together.
This method could work in conjunction with paid visitors , or as a stand alone thing .
First off, you have to have an email list built first. You want the listing to be constructed having an audience interested in making money online (also known as the MMO market ).
Another audience that may do well as a Clickfunnels Affiliate, is if you have business contacts in your list. Especially those in a market such as Health or Real Estate.
From that point you would want to market Clickfunnels on your email followups. Rather that’s by giving a great deal of free value, or a direct magnet. Or, even a talk funnel, which we will discuss next.
Since it is said that it takes someone around 7 times of seeing something on average, before they purchase; the aim here would be to keep showing them the value of Clickfunnels.
The end result will be a certain proportion of people may finish up taking the free trial of Clickfunnels. Once they do, supply them guidance, or free tools to help them along.
The end goal is obviously you need them to become a paying subscriber, in which you’d create a recurring commission for each month they stay .
This is a very powerful method for getting Clickfunnels trials. The downside to it, is that you have to already be a Clickfunnels member, and be adequate in building a funnel.
What you will do, is drive traffic to a landing page, where you literally give away these funnels free of cost.
The goal here, is for people not to be Clickfunnels members , so they will have to sign up with your connection , then import the funnel in their dash.
Not only does this work, it was the first strategy that actually worked a year or so ago. This is a win-win in most cases.
The new subscriber instantly includes a funnel, which can potentially allow them to start collecting trials immediately. Also at the same time, it lands the Clickfunnels user that provided the funnel, new trials.
From there, you would send some useful followup emails, with advice on how best to land the traffic, and how to turn them into paying members.
Most likely, you may also be getting emails from the funnel builder. Because just as if you’re trying to convert trials along with your funnel, they are trying to convert you.
It is not as simple as it seems. Because in order for this to be effective, you have to have traffic naturally. This could be accomplished by paid traffic, email marketing or SEO; which we will talk about today.
For those of you that don’t know, SEO is my bread and butter.
Sure, it requires longer to start making progress. However, it involves little to no money to begin .
The goal behind SEO, is to write high quality and helpful articles (such as this one), that will rank in the search engines of Google, Bing, Yahoo etc.. .
While it takes some time to rank, once it does a good article can bring in visitors for a long time to come; with nominal maintenance .
This was my favorite method when starting out, because I did not want to sink lots of cash into paid traffic.
The con about compensated visitors, is that though it’s possible to get traffic fast , you need to constantly keep sinking money into ads, or the traffic stops.
You do not need to worry about this with SEO.
Although I have not made a million bucks with Clickfunnels as an affiliate, all my earnings are profit.
Here is a screenshot of my dash at the time of this writing.
I began getting Clickfunnels traffic around April of past year. So, about 9 months ago.
As you can see, I Have earned nearly 15k in Clickfunnels Affiliate commissions.
The fantastic thing about SEO, is how it starts to compound once your site(s) start to rank.
If you’re interested in how I learned SEO, you can check out the class I took here.
Last on my list, is solo advertisements.
Solo ads is one of the most popular strategies to building an email list.
You most likely won’t get any trials, maybe a stray 1 or 2 from running a solo ad. Nonetheless, you should find a decent amount of optins to your list.
From there, you would use the email advertising method, to attempt to convert your new list readers into Clickfunnels trials.
With powerful email advertising, this can be a good method to earn commissions at the long run.
The fantastic news about solo ads, is which they are a list where you will forever own.
You do not own Google traffic. Or, Facebook traffic.
You do own your email list.
If Facebook shut down tomorrow, I know a lot of people personally, who would be SOL.
Another incentive to solo ads, is that later you build your list, you can promote many different affiliate supplies. It is not solely for Clickfunnels.
Clickfunnels has its own Clickfunnels Affiliate training, known as the Affiliate Bootcamp.
you may register here at no cost.
The motto behind this, is teaching you”How to Retire in 100 Days As a Clickfunnels Affiliate”.
Though I find that a bit extreme, it is very informative, and can be very helpful if you decide to undergo it.
In order to do all of the training, you will at least have to have the 14 day trial of Clickfunnels, which are available here.
If after 2 weeks of trialing, you do not feel like paying for it, Clickfunnels is easy to cancel. I’ve done it previously.
It is done through the dashboard, so there’s absolutely no need to have to speak to anybody about it, if you decide it is not for you.
So, as you can see – it can be quite rewarding as a Clickfunnels affiliate.
Like with anything, you will find a range of people who neglect. But if you just do it, and tweak things as you go, you will be successful.
My advice for you would be to select one method that resonates with you, and master it. I see a lot of people who stay stuck, because they divide their attention in a lot of directions.
This doesn’t help you climb. It holds you back.
